run it under water, press down on the swollen part of your finger! while pushing it off!
try putting butter around your finger or olive oil if you finger is turning purple...put ice on it for a bit so the swelling goes down and try to take the ring off. dont be near any open sinks or toilets!!
Stop and breathe.

It's not as if you LOST the ring. You're just having trouble getting it off.

Your fingers have swollen.

Start by getting a baggie (ziplock) and fill it with ice cubes. Ice your fingers for about 20 minutes. Then put some dishwashing soap (and/or butter) directly onto your fingers.

The ring should slide right off.

Next, clean the ring, give the ring back to your mother, apologize, and don't do it again.
This is out of my Kiaser Permanente Book. Take a string and wrap it around so there is no spaces next to each string in front of the ring. Then slip the string under the ring so it is behind the ring. Then pull the string away from you. It should use the string and should slide off. Hope I really help. I hope it will come off!
Put your hand in a bucket of ice water to reduce the swelling/blood flow. Keep your hand in there as long as you can stand it. Use a little liquid dish or hand soap to help get it off after the swelling goes down. It will work, I guarantee it!

Good luck !
use everyones tips and also...

CALM DOWN! the more you freak the harder it will be to get off! it's like those chinese finger traps! so calm down and run it under COOOLD water with some soap.
go to your mom she will know what to do and you will avoid being in trouble for using the wrong thing on it.and if like most mom we will know you've punished yourself enough. if It was my kid I would be more worried about their finger. as moms we get mad but we also love our kids and get over it, good luck,
Put an ice cube on your thumb to shrink it down (fingers swell in the heat and reduce in cold- then rub some hand cream all around the surface and try to slide it on and off until it gives enough to pull it off.
Since you can't damage real diamonds. Lubricate your finger with a lot of oil, prop your elbow with your in the air for about 15 minutes. That should do it.
do not use hot water it will make your fingers get more swollen. use COLD water. it's kind of like how your fingers get more swollen in hot weater and smaller in cold weather.
Relax and use some dish soap it's really slippery.
Good luck!
rub butter or oil on it. i am so sorry if you get into trouble. i think you should tell your mom so she can help you.
First be calm and then check the advise of Michele, she has a good idea. Don't worry about the ring, it is not lost. Just relaz, then do what Michele says to do. With what she says and relaxing it should come off. You will have to tell your mom, and she can not hurt you because you were doing only an innocent try out of the ring. So calm down and get to work on it. Take care and let us know how you did. I'll pray for you.
