Infected nipple piercing?

Question:
i had my nipple pierced 4 weeks ago and it's been fine until yesterday when it started to hurt. i noticed a small lump next to the ring and a bit of yellowish puss coming out. i can't even touch the ring now as its too sore. i've been put on anti-biotics by my g.p. i don.t want to take out as it took a lot of courage to get it done. can anyone help

Answers:
^ This lady is a dumbass to be a nurse. If it is infected, you do not want to remove the jewelry, as the "pus" will not have a means to drain and it will all become trapped inside as the holes reseal. White drainage is normal, but yellow generally is not. Stay on the antibiotics, because it does sound like an infection, and continue to visit your practitioner.
Take it out and see a doctor, OR, die. Those are your choices.
keep on the anti biotics.. finish the course of them

they probably have told you what to do, just keep it clean/germ free.
ouch, why would you do that to yourself, like unless you're a naturist who's gonna see it, again ouch!
Finish the course of antibiotics and keep cleaning it by turnining it and using a cotton bud and warm salty water, which is what you should've been advised to do when you got it done.
I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and I have no pity on anyone who does this sort of thing. It is shear stupidity. It has gone septic and the chances are it will happen again.Remove it. If we were meant to have extra holes in our bodies we will have been born with them
