Does Prozac affect your ability to play sports?

It can take anywhere from 1 to 4 months for a person to become accustomed to these common side effects of Prozac (most of the clients I have seen tell me it took them about 2 months). Drink more water than usual and make sure to eat enough protein (meat, cheese, eggs, nuts, oatmeal, beans etc.); Prozac needs protein to be metabolized correctly. Be aware that it may feel to you that your reflexes aren't as "sharp" and that you have some trouble concentrating...might feel a bit confused or "fuzzy" in your thinking. Additionally, you may find that your energy level seems to have decreased and yes, that you desire more sleep. Engaging in activity - - especially outdoors and with others is a fantastic way to increase your energy level and assist with depression. Just be aware that it may take you some time to adjust and feel like you are playing basketball up to your peak performance. Many patients on Prozac tell me they are happy they "waited out the side effects" as eventually, the medication seems to increase their energy level and desire to participate in activity/socialize. After 6 - 8 weeks, if you still find the side effects troubling talk to your Dr. re adjusting dosage and how often you take Prozac and what your other options are (other/another medication etc.). Have fun tonight if you decide to go to practice:)
Go to practice and if you have any problems sit out. Talk to your doctor about your side affects.
ive been taking prozac since january and the tiredness gets better, i just wanted to sleep forever and thought it was a waste of time but after a couple of months i felt fantastic.
From the attached web link, looks OK to hit the court. I would listen to your body while playing and sit out when needed.
I’ve had many days in my life when my body has told me to take it easy and have never regretted sitting out for a time.
There is always tomorrow…
