How long does it take for a torn hamstring to heal?

Question:

Answers:
Depends on how bad you tore it. A small tear can take 3 to 4 weeks. Moderate 6 to 8 and a completely torn Muscle can take 6 months to heal. But that's if you are going through rehab, and getting treatment. If you like to sit on the couch alot it could take even longer. And all those times will double before you'll back to full strength.
I am "not:" a doctor, but usually they take from 6-8 weeks to heal. Could take up to 12 weeks. It all depends on the severity of the injury.
Depends on the extent of the injury. Typically it takes 4-8 wks to heal. You will feel mostly painfree in 2-3 wks but that is a dangerous time b/c you feel good but the muscle has not completely healed and then people go out and re-strain the muscle. My suggestions is, if you want to heal this properly and have a decreased risk of re-injury then go see a sports medicine physical therapist to help you rehab.
