Ear Pain for about a week now!?

Question:
I've had throbbing and sharp pains in both my ears for a little over a week now. My ears also feel clogged like when you need to pop your ears and I'm also having pressure in my ears and headaches. Loud noises seem to aggrivate the pain and throbbing and I can hardly stand to listen to my car stereo anymore, even when I turn it down. I went to the ER the other night and they told me my ear drums looked great and ear cannal looked good. However, the pain, throbbing, pressure and headaches still continue. Does anyone have any info or advice?

Answers:
You should see an ENT(ear nose and throat doctor). They will examine you , run tests , including a hearing test . Your hearing is nothing to mess around with, once its gone ..its gone. They will figure out what is happening to you.

I developed Menieres Disease at 18. I had many of the symptoms you are displaying , along with rotational vertigo. If you continue to have these problems please see an ear specialist .
my mom had a tooth ache that made her ear hurt so bad she got 3 shots in the face it is probably your teeth or sinus infection get better
The staff at the ER might have done a quick look to make sure there was nothing drastic going on (water in ears, infection, etc). However, it is very likely that they overlooked something. Minimal discomfort is one thing, but on-going, severe pain is symptomatic of a bigger issue. If possible, steer clear from your general physician...Honestly, I would try to get an appointment with an ENT doctor (ear, nose & throat) as soon as you can.

I really hope you get this resolved. Good luck!
