How do you get rid of a blood clot on the forehead?

Question:
The other day my sister bumped her forehead. It's just so weird that it didn't form a bump but instead, it formed a half inch blood clot. Is this bad? What should she do?

Answers:
see a doctor
definitely see your doctor. It may need to be drained.
If the clot is that thick, the ossification (dposition of calcium) and hardening of the hematoma (clot) is definitely a risk, let alone the esthetical comsequences...
The usual procedure is to drain it under 2-3 cc injection of lignocaine with a small transverse incision in the skin of the forehead, about 4 milimiters long, and gently expressing away the clot.
A sligntly compressive bandage aroound the head, will be necessary after the procedure.
If your sister is very young and nervous, a tablet of 10 miligrams of diazepam, will be given about 1 hours before the procedure, and after that----Back home to be chacked in 5 days time.,.
I am pretty sure, you need to comment this with your physician.
Seek help, not to wait.
Go to the doctor straight away my friend. Get it checked out!
Go to the Dr. He can pop it or something, and give you some medicine so it doesn't get infected.
GO TO THE DOCTORS!
