Can you get sunburned on a recently healed sunburned area?

Question:
a week and half ago we were at a lake and got sunburned really bad, now they are healed and we are headed back to the lake for a birthday party... I was wondering if we can get sunburned again... (BTW I know know to use sunblock... but I am still wondering)

Answers:
DEFINETLY! its often so much easier for that new/fresh area to burn. that is basically raw unprotected skin now... i would suggest wearing a shirt!
Yes you can, it's still new skin if it's a week and a half old.
yea you can always get sunburned. wear the sunblock and keep applying it every 20 minutes
yes
and it hurts
Absolutely.
That is like saying can I burn my hand on the stove again once it has healed. Yes! So now that you are aware of the dangers, be certain to layer on the sunblock and don't forget to refresh it, especially when you go in swimming!

Enjoy your party!!
Absolutely. I've gotten resunburned in the same spot over and over again. One reason why using sunblock is so important because repeated burning can lead to mutation of the cells with leads to skin cancer.
This newly healed skin is very fragile and will burn easily.
Best to put sunscreen on half and hour before you get to the beach. And reapply after swimming.
You don't want to risk getting skin cancer in the future.
