Bump on neck? Please Help?

Question:
For about a month now, I've had a marble sized bump on the back left side of my neck, right below my hair line. My parents said it was a swollen gland, and would go away on it's own, but it hasn't. It doesn't hurt or anything, it's just worrying me.

Could it be a tumor or something!?

Please help! Thankk you

Answers:
I had something similar to that on my neck about 5 years ago. They told me it was caused by stress, I thought it was a tumor too! Just remain calm it will go away eventually.
The only way to tell for sure is to see your doctor. Even if it is a swollen gland, it should have cleared up by now and you should see a doctor.
My sister had the same thing, and it ended up being a cyst. While it is not life threatning, it should be looked at (and probably removed) by a doctor. Anything that stays that long should be looked at by a doctor. Tell your parents to make you an appointment.
A LOT of things are possible. It could be a swollen gland, like your parents said, or a tumor like you said. It could be anything from a basically harmless cyst or some Bot fly larvae living in your neck. My point is, go see your doctor!
I would have it checked out.could be a cyst.check for an ingrown hair..
I had the same thing. Mine ended up being a swollen gland. It took about a month to fully go down. My doctor said it could have been a sebaecious cyst, but since it went down it probably wasn't. I would see a doctor if you can and get a biopsy if it doesn't go down.
