Stiff neck?

well i went to a pharmacy at walgreens and had the guy look at my neck. He said its most likely stiff neck! I have a pain in the left side of my neck to the point that i completely cant look to the left. I am taking ibuprofen...but i was wondering is there anything else i can do to ease the pain?? Also any ideas for when i go to sleep rite now??

A muscle cream may help. As crazy as this may sound, I used to get them all the time. I went to the farm supply store and bought some horse lineament. It is a gel that is scented like spearmint. My whole family, and my friends swear by it now! It truly takes the pain away! I have not had a crick in my neck several years now.

Do you have ANY other symptoms?
Fever, nasea, dizziness, aches and pains other than your neck?
If you have ANY other symptoms, get to the ER NOW. There's a chance it might be mennengitis.
If not, try massaging it and a heating pad.
If it keeps up, you may need to ask for a muscle relazer.
For tonight, take a benadryl to help you relax a bit and get to sleep.
BTW, there is no such thing a s randomly stiff neck. It's got a cause, and it needs to be addressed. I(t might be simple as muscle spasms, or something much more complicated.
