Anyone have experience with having hardware removed after clavicle surgery?

Question: I had a plate and six screws surgically put in on April 23rd of this year. The bones are healing, but I am starting to have pain with the hardware. I'm afraid I'll have to have it removed once the healing is done. I wonder how frequently this happens?

I am not an orthopedic nurse, but it seems like it has not been a whole lot of time since your surgery...sometimes after surgery it might take about a year before you feel exactly back to normal, but in any case any pain should be discussed with your surgeon to see what he says about it.
