Whats a good pain relief for braces?

Question:
wut household item can i take for tight painful braces

Answers:
asprin or tylenol
ibuprofen
I always popped motrin before I had my braces tightened. I never felt any pain/pressure once so ever.
I use Advil when my braces start to hurt and it usely works.
Hope it works!
Ibuprofin!
The braces are jerking your teeth around, which irritates the hell out of your gums, causing inflammation, and ibuprofin (Advil, Motrin) is an anti-inflammatory!
Also, try drinking wome warm cocoa or chicken noodle soup, especially if you've just had them tightened.
I had braces for 4 years.. blah..
also, get some ambesol, even the baby stuff for teething will do, and use your finger to lightly rub your gums. Not only does it help the pain, but it increases bloodflow, which helps it to heal.
Good luck!
Sheena

P.S. If it's so bad that it's keeping you from sleeping, try taking a benadryl right before bed.
well i just got braces about eh... 3 weeks ago I've tried so many pain killers and all that worked was Tylenol but ibuprofen helps a little to
