Unusual ankle injury. Treatment?

I was jumping a double on my motorcycle and landed on the uphill side of the landing ramp. Didn't crash, but I had the balls of my feet on the pegs instead of the middle of my feet like I was supposed to, and had a very hard impact when I landed.

My feet bent UPWARD, and I immediately crawled around on the ground with the top and heels of my feet on fire (not literally). Never could put pressure on left foot, and very small (1/2 cm) range of motion in all directions. Three days later, swollen, but no bruising, painful to touch heel and ankle bone.

3 days later (after Resting/Icing/Elevating/No walking) Larger range of motion, still slightly swollen, no bruising, but still no weight bearing allowed. When I put pressure, I feel the intense pain along the top of my ankle (tarsals) and my heel.

Usually ankle sprains are from rolling to either side. Have never had it from bending my foot UP. I cannot see a doctor (am struggling financially) I would appreciate your help.

When you are sleepy..?

Answer:
Well it sounds like you're doing the right thing (resting/icing/elevating) and it also sounds like it's getting better, which is always a good sign. I'm guessing you've hyper-pressured (extended or crushed) some cartilage or ligaments, maybe a slight tear. But since it isn't in constant pain I'd say just keep doing what you're doing. I'm also hoping you have a sedentary job since it takes at least two weeks for that kind of thing, and you should probably find some crutches somewhere to help you out. Naturally, take my diagnosis with a grain of salt it's just that I've experienced a pretty bad cartilage tear before that might be similar.

Do I have need of stitches?

It could be a injury to your achillies tendon if it is not torn then it will just take time to heal from being over extended

What if you snort goodys pain releiver?

I was in a similar situation last year. I had insurance though, I fractured the golfball like bone at the bottom of my leg. The only thing the doctor did for me was to give me painkillers and a boot to wear for about a month, don't try to put weight on it and keep it elevated as much as possible, the more you stay off of it the sooner it will heal, but I would consider getting an x-ray if nothing else. Good luck.
