I need advice about getting teeth out.?
Question:
anybody ever had teeth pulled out and got any advice?
Answers:
Oh yeah, I have had 2 wisdom and 2 molars removed (seperate times) and I would rather have teeth extractions than to have them drilled and filled- it is nothing- you don't feel anything- I am a 40 yr old big sissy when it comes to dentists, it takes longer for the novacaine to set in than the tooth to be extracted- they had these little bad boys out in about 30-40 seconds! Snap of the finger and it was out. The first one I had done I just sat there and the dentist put something in my mouth and said "okay, all done" I said "what?" he said "all done, you did good" I said "the tooth is out?" he said "yup, piece of cake isn't it?"
So now, if ever I need to get another done, I have no problem with it- don't feel a thing and it is the quickest dentist visit you will ever have.
tell the dentist to give you nitrous oxide and you wont feel a thing and wont remember a thing either. ask for lortab 10s for pain after the surgery and take them exactly as instructed and you should be fine
Don't worry, you'll be fine. I had several of my baby teeth pulled when I was younger, and it didn't hurt much. Just make sure the dentist gives you enough numbing ahead of time, and you shouldn't feel much. :)
Just go and get it over with. Its not going to be a pleasant experience. I hate to tell you. Ive had two pulled recently and one pulled when I was like 12. Everytime is unpleasant and painful. Just get it over with. Thats all I can tell you. Im sorry and good luck! And close your eyes!!
Hi
I am 49 & just had my first tooth pulled a couple of months ago. I was terrified too. However it was no big deal. The dentisit froze my mouth, came back into the room, poked around a little and then left the room. When he came back he said I was good to go. I didn't even know he'd pulled it already. It was so easy. It was my top back molar.
