Go see a Pain Managment Doctor.
Try a Chiropractor, a weekly massage, an Accupunture/accupressure specialist, heat lamps.

Back aches are the most common complaint and the nights are long.
invest in pillows to put between your knees when you lie on your sides, this will help aliegn your back, also put pillows under your knees when sleeping on your back.

have you been to physical therapy?
Have you taken over the counter anti-inflam nasaids?
Have you tried a heating pad?
Ice packs?

When all this fails, get an MRI, and then ask for pain meds when all else fails.

Pain is unbearable to live with, changes who we are as people, ruins our so-called social life, and wrecks havok on family and friends who are affected by our pain as well.

Join a support group, try underwater pool exercise classes.

The more you strenghten the muscles that support the back, the better the back will be, loose weight, take it slow and easy, short walks at first, then try sucking your stomach in.
Try standing up straight.

Go to Physical Therapy and make sure you are posture perfect. THAT did wonders for my spine problems/

are you a surgical candiate?
be pro-active, go to your doctor, ask for MRI, Physical Therapy and pain meds.

There is no cure, but there is help out there and treatment.

support groups help you know you are not alone, and you can get tips from what other people do.

Stay active, and don't let pain rule your life, or be the only thing you do or talk about.
have you seen a dr that specializes in back pain ? if not I would start there and go from there . good luck .
go see a doctor
It depends on what causes the backache. If it's just general pain from pad posture or job related, like you have to sit at the computer for extended periods of time, I've found that regular back exercises really work and you can find many on the net if you search under 'lower back exercise' for example. It would be best to first have your back x-rayed to find out the cause if the reasons are not the above.
Try this, Have someone pull on you legs while you are holding on to the edge of something or hang from a "Monkey Bar" with a slight wieght on you feet. Doing this will relax the vertibra in the spine and let the flexable substance between your vertibra retract, causing you less pain
