My sunburn is veiny?

Question:
So I stupidly went out over the weekend without sunscreen on and was outside for about 5 hours (about half in the sun, half in the shade). I was wearing a newer bathing suit and part of my chest was exposed where it hadn't been before. It hurt the first few days (this happened on Sunday, today is Wed) but does not hurt anymore, but it is still red and I can see the blood vessels. My guess is that it's a first degree burn, but is there anything other than the typical aloe thing and make sure it goes on next time?

Answers:
get some aloe gel and take some ibuprofen. and of course the obvious use sunscreen yada yada yada
If your sunburn has veins it may be infected. You probably should get it checked
Just keep applying aloe vera on it... keep it in the fridge so that it is cool when you apply it. Don't excessively touch it, and try to wear loose-fitting clothing. It's not for sure that it's infected since it's veiny. Wait until Friday and just keep doing the aloe thing. If by Friday the redness has not significantly improved, go see a doctor. It will have been 5 days and that's more than enough time for a sunburn to calm down.
Hope this helps!
P.S. Wear sunscreen! You can getting tanning sunscreen as well!
