My friend injured himself, how long will it take to recover??
Question:
he's 14 years old. and he was taken to holpital straight when it happened!
Please don't make jokes, coz he's my best friend and it's not funny, it's serious!.

Oh wow, that sounds serious. No one can be sure of how long it will take but the doctors. I'm guessing like 2 or 3 weeks. Hope he get's better!

yikes. i couldn't say for sure (a doctor will be able to give you a lot more information) but a spleen injury is definitely really serious. it will probably take quite a while.
That's terrible. Sorry to hear it. You can be glad that the injuries did not effect his head or cause brain trauma. The injuries you are talking about will probably be forgotten and he will be totally past them within a year.
No way to tell, not even for doctors, as everyone heals at their own rate.

He young. Went straight 2 the hospital. I'd say give him 6mo to a year.Of course that's serious. Have him continue to keep in touch with his doctor,I'm sure he's gonna be just fine.He'll be on another bike in record time. Kids are made of stone these days.
If the spleen, or another organ is involved, you might be waiting several weeks for that to heal. Internal organ damage means he could be under close observation for quite a while. Visit him as often as you can. Hospitals are not the most comfortable places for a young active boy.
