Removing screw surrounded by ankle 5 years after reform?

Hello. I was surrounded by a car misfortune about 5 years ago and have to have a complete restoration on my right ankle with a plate and 3 screw. Now it seems that at lowest possible one of the screws is making its agency back out of the bone and is extremely throbbing. I have be sent for a consult for ortho surgery to have one or more of them removed, and I enjoy no idea what to expect. Has anyone have surgery like this up to that time? What kind of taking back time are we talking just about? Is it as painful as the inventive operation? Thanks for any advice ^_^

Answers:    I am have the same question you do - was hit by a sports car a year ago and it hasnt healed but, but my surgeon told me when it heals a bit more will own to take out at least possible 2 screws (have rod and 5 screw in leg) because they result in me a lot of dull pain and one is coming out more and more (although nobody believes that) - you can feel it especially clearly when touching.
I was told it doesnt hurt much at adjectives (not like when they put them in) and its done beneath general anestesia. I guess a few days on backache killers and a wicker...i dont think it should lift more than 2 weeks to recover.
It's uncomplicated. Stop worrying. Short recovery time. It take a while for the bone to fill final in, but use commom sense. If you can take it all out, do it adjectives at once so it's over with. Sometimes you gain achy in the cold weather but sometimes not. WebMD have awesome links. My Ex had it done. The recouping was approach better than the pain from the loose screw. I wait in the taking back room for minutes. The Specialist came final out so soon I thought there be a problem or ? & it was over! Missed self able to excite him about have a screw loose though. He teased me too! Good luck!
