Question:
i'm just 21 years old.. am i too young to feel this pain? i couldn't stand up last morning then i just forced myself beacause i want to go for a check up..the doctor said it's nothing and i just need to take pain relievers. right now i felt better than yerterday but i feel strange. it still aches. yesterday before i slept i sat slouched in my computer till 1:00 in the morning.. is it bad? or should i ignore it coz the pain will eventually disappear..thanks for the answer..

Answers:
well maybe your back is sore because you have bad posture...it will stress your back muscles if you dont sit correctly and cause pain try to sit up straight and no slouching!
your never to young for back pain..it is caused by alot of different reasons..a good remedy i use ..take a warm bath..when you get out and dressed do some stretches ..it should ease up in a matter of hours..try to stetch more when you have to sit for long periods of time
girl, i am only 23 and i have had degenerative disk desease since i was just 11. and i didnt do anything to hurt my back at all. the only thing you need to really worry about is this... if you ever feel a shooting pain down your butt and into your legs, or if your legs go knumb and you fall cause you cant feel them, then you need to go to the doctor emmediately.

that is called sciatica, it means you have a disk that is pushing on or has broke and is sitting on your main nerve in your back. its verrrry painful. it leads to nerve damage and everything. thats what i have now...

your doctor is not a good doctor if he isnt worried about it. see when i was 12 and 13 my doctors told me the same thing, that i was too young to have anything serious. so they do anything. now i cant even walk through the store with out crying my eyes out. the doctors now tell me that if they would have done some mri's whne i was younger i wouldnt have this wrong with me today.

i would tell your doctor that you want an mri done emmediately, just to be sure. cause what you explained is what i felt at first. and it gets worse. if he tells you your crazy, then tell hom you want a second opinion.

believe me its worth it. please be careful, and yes sitting on the computer does make you hurt more, t wont damage anything. or anything like that. let me know if you need anymore info k?
if the pain starts in the middle of one butt cheek you have a pinched sciatic nerve.
or you,re hip could be out

you could have a budging disc that inflames the nerves and gives you pain when it flairs up.ibuprofen will probably work better for you than pain medication.pain medication will disguise the pain and you will do things causing the nerve to flair up so when the pain meds wear off you will be in more pain.ibuprofen will shrink the nerve back to the size it should be so it wont get irritated.i suffered with back issues for a long time and eventually had 2 herniated discs and opted for surgery.it worked out well for me.If Had to guess i would think there is a possibility maybe 60/40 you will need surgery sometime in your life.but i also think you are 20 years away from making that call.physical therapy works well an Australian physical therapist has a god set of exercises for back injuries his name is Mackenzie .if you can find the book he wrote it would be use full to you. the best advise i can give you is the advise i got from a physical therapist i saw . " no one is going to take care of your back for you , you have to take care of it yourself"
good luck
