My brother was told that he tore his knee cartilage why is the recovery taking so long?

I read your other question... "He tore his ACL and hasn't had surgery yet." That is why recovery is taking so long. A torn ACL will not repair itself, he is going to need surgery, but orthopedic surgeons are VERY busy people and must operate on the severely injured (compound fractures and stuff) first. Once your brother has the surgery he will be well on his way to recovery but it's going to be a long one. He'll need physical therapy for strengthening and stuff. He'll be alright, but it will take a little bit of time. Hope this helps. :-)
Did he have surgery? Cartilage doesn't have a lot of circulation in it so it heals slowly. It depends on which cartilage and where in the knee it is.
If your Brother hasn't had surgery his recovery time could be endless. He needs to be fixed before he starts to get better.
