If you get hit in your eye can it cause random eye twitches down the line?

Question:
I was in a abusive relationship (not any more) and during the time my ex backhanded me in the eye. I had a bad black eye for about a week and a half. Ever since then my eye will randomly start twitching. Could the hit be the cuase of this?

Answers:
Getting any type of trauma to the eye can cause nerve damage. there is also a small muscle that runs in the eyelid itself. That muscle is one of the smallest muscles in the human body. If that gets even the slightest amount of damage, it too could cause the twitching. usually if it is some type of slight trauma it will go away on its own. If it gets worse or pain full then you might want to talk to an "eye doctor" for more advise
Yes, for sure.
maybe but I don't mean to be nosey but have you ever filed anything against him? I wouldv'e
With the force of the hit, your ex may have bruised or damaged one of the nerves in or around your eye making it twitch a lot.

(off topic: Glad you are out of that abusive relationship, hope you find a guy who treats you with respect)
