You need to work on strengthening your thigh muscles. A strong quadricep will act to stabilize the knee area. Get advice from an trainer as to what machines to use and to make sure you are using the correct weight and intensity.
squats.stand up put your hands on your head you legs should be fairly far apart now lower yourself slowly with your legs and come back up.when you get better at this use medicine balls or weights
Your knees anything to be strengthened, but you can work on the muscles all around your knees.
Leg presses (stand and bend at the knees- not past 45 degrees- while holding a weight), extensions (sit and lift a weight on your ankles) and curls (lie down on your stomach and lift a weight on your ankles).
Always stretch slowly and carefully.
