Do I really need to use a hand soap that is labelled as disnifecting ?

Question:
We use hand soap at our church with the childrens ministry in their bathrooms and someone mentioned that the soap that the church is now purchasing is NOT anitbacterial? Does it really matter since I thought soap is soap and it doesnt have to be labelled as disnefcting ?

Answers:
Actually, it's better that soap ISN'T antibacterial because germs can be resistant to it (and then you get "superbugs"). Any soap will wash the germs off of your hands as long as you lather up well, rinse, and dry with a clean paper towel.
well no matter the soap i think the best would be the liquid kind.
No, the reports on soap say that the anti bacterial is not any better than regular hand soap for killing germs so don't waste the money.
Soap kills germs. No need for antibacterial. Actually experts are sort of down on the antibacterial additives. Just use soap. Rubbing the hands unde running water with soap is what works.
The microbiologist (above) has a point and a good one too. And, they are correct.

However, the fact that you are washing your hands on a regular basis is wonderful! We should all be doing this!

We all need to be more aware and wash more often. It is way too easy to transmit germs by the hand!

Good question!

Soap is soap. Any soap is good just make sure you wash regularly.
