What can cause swelling and pain on inside of foot above arch?

Question:

Answers:
More than likely its a dropped Navicular bone in the foot. Less likely is a Lisfranc sprain in the foot. I recommend that you go see an orthopedic doctor to have a look at your foot and make sure that you dont have a stress fracture.
you have either bone spurs or the beginnnings of a fallin arch. You need to get arch supports for your shoes.
stretching of that tendon. could be caused by over-exertion in a particular event, or by poorly fitted footwear.
...also a stone-bruise is a possibility. Did you step on something hard in your bare feet?
