I just got a sunburn on my upper thighs and it has swollen, big time. Is this normal? Will it go down?

Question:

Answers:
take some ibuprofen, put cold compresses on that burn and put some aloe gel on it
i live in tropical country , i often got sunburnt and .never get swollen unless i go to the beach . I think it s normal and it will go down , but your skin will be as bright as before . Well ,perhaps , you should ask the doctor for an advice to be sure .
It can't hurt to check with a doctor, just to be safe. I got a 3rd degree sunburn once, and had to get a cortisone shot to help the swelling go down. The doctor also suggested soaking in as cold water as I could handle.
Are you able to walk and when walking does it hurt? It sounds like you have water on your muscle and it will hurt for awhile and to relieve the pain is with cool water or ice it. It will take a couple of days to go away. I have had that happen to me and the doctor told me that when a person is out in the sun too long they can get a 2nd and third degree burn and they can also get water on the muscle which causes the swelling in the legs and it takes a couple of days to go away. I had that happen to me a couple of times and it is very painful to walk.
I hope this will help.
Keep your legs elevated, put some aloe vera/codeine gel on it and just keep up the fluids. Im sure it very painful especially when you walk on it. There is nothing you can do but rest.
