My knee, please help!?

Question:
my knee has been bothering me for a while, and i iced it this morning after a run. so now it has a little swelling, and is warmer than my other knee.
so should i ice it, warm it, or leave it alone?

Answers:
it mite be overkill but you mite want too consider a good neoprene brace and a good fitting one so you knee won,t hurt as much cause it sound,s like a internal pull
keep icing it and elevate it.
dont put heat on it because thats for muscles like pulled or strainedmuscles and stuff so no need for heat here.
ice 20 minutes on 20 minutes off for 2 hours.
than take an hour or 2 off. and repeat the process.
if it bothers you for more than 3 more days i would make an appointment to see a doctor.
ICE IT
ELEVATE IT. :] goodluck
Ice then heat every two hours!
DONT ICE IT!!!

DONT TAKE ANTI-INFLAMATORIES!

Inflamation, soreness, stiffness, and pain is your bodies way of dealing with an injury.

You need this to happen in order for your body to heal the damaged tendons and ligaments.

Every doctor will tell you to rest it, ice it, take anti-inflammatories, and elevate it.

This is wrong!! This is why people hurt their joints, and they just seem to never heal all the way or properly.

I followed the advice of conventional doctors for years with sports injuries. The last two years i have notice just about all my joints were hurting me, and never ever got any better.

I have recently found Prolotherapy that has helped my joints out tremendously. My right shoulder was diagnosed with border line arthritis and a degenerative AC joint. My shoulder constantly clicked and popped and i could barely lift anything. I got prolotherapy done on it 2.5 weeks ago and i can lift anything now. My shoulder does not pop and click anymore and does not hurt to sleep on it. I had my wrist, both elbows, and both shoulders done and i am almost completely healed after one session.

Prolotherapy works by inducing inflammation in your joints to start the healing process over again. The prolotherapist said my injuries were due to taking too many anti-inflammatories, putting ice on my injuries, and never allowing my body to naturally heal itself. Everything just degenerated due to the lack of healing.

To conclude this, do not ice or take anti-inflammatories for your knees. Deal with the pain for awhile. If your knees continute to heal, look into getting prolotherapy. It works!! It is a permanent fix to your joint problems!
