What did I do. ?

Question:
My wedding ring finger is swollen so much I barely got my ring off. (Had to, it was making my finger hurt worse!)

Odd thing about it is... don't remember how I did it? (& Nothing about being drunk or high, or anything like that!.. Because I was not & I am serious!)

It's not broken (because I can move it)... but the 2nd / middle knuckle feels bruised... & it hurts when I bend it... but I can make a fist! Very odd!

Have you ever hurt & don't know how or what you did to make it hurt?

Please keep it CLEAN and NICE, or don't answer at all! (If you can't share it with your mom or grandma, then I don't want to hear it!)

Thank you, LH99 :o)

Answers:
Bones do bruise and cracking one would not stop it from bending. There is a little cartilage in knuckles that can be damaged or maybe you have a tendon strain. It can be a lot of things, almost all not serious, just painful.

Doctors are there to check things like that if it lasts more than a couple of days.
That sounds quite odd.. If it were all your fingers I would say its the heat thats making your fingers bloated. Are you sure you havent gained weight?

Trying putting ice on it 2 times an hour and hopefully it will go down. If it doesnt stop hurting within a week go to the doctor.

Also, take advil to help with the pain
maybe you just hit it on something. if you can bend it and move it, it's not broken. put ice on it, and see if that helps. don't put the ring on until the swelling goes down. feel better. sometimes i'll get a bruise or a cut, and not know how it got there.
You may have stubbed your fingers. I used to do that all the time at a factory job I had. I would also check for a bug bite because sometimes they can make your fingers swell. if you walk alot with your hands down at your sides it could just be swollen. I would not worry to much until it gets worse but it is probably nothing to get concerned about. Think of all the times you got a bruise as a kid and could not explain how it got there. This sounds like the same kind of situation.
you may have wrapped it against a table or a door jam at some point - I've done that and not realized I'd banged it so hard, but it'd swell up as time went on. I agree that icing it down should help reduce the swelling.
I don't know if you broke a vain in your finger but whin I get them they hurt or you my be retaining water, its the summer and hot, extra fluid may make your fingers feel bigger especially if you are consuming a lot of salty foods
It could be that a blood vessel in your finger may have burst or swollen up ( your ring may have been constricting your finger), or it could just be the heat making the water you have in your finger swell up and get bloated...but I don't think it's anything to worry about , but if it stays swollen for a long period of time then I recommend to see a doctor.
I have a scratch on my face and I have no clue why
