Fallen Arches... How can it be corrected?
Question:

I would see a podiatrist especially at your young age, your feet gotta last you for lots and lots of years yet so you really want to take care of them now. I know it's expensive to see a specialist but it's better than retro-fitting your home for wheelchair use.
There are special special shoes to support the fallen arches, that would help. Otherwise it is all gimmickry.
surgery could be an option-----or getting in to see a specialist that knows about this and getting special insoles made up..they are a little expensive but its your feet and your medical could pay for them or at least some of the costs..its worth looking into wouldn't you think...I have been there and getting insoles plus special shoes---my feet hurt alot but I have Hammer toes so maybe thats why--do you have crooked toes as well. Good luck
Hello. Well, I am doing research to determine the feasibility of correcting flat feet with exercise. If you'd like to receive further info on it and, perhaps he considered a research candhdate, contact me.
A lot of this depends first and foremost on your weight. I suffered from PF for years. Cortizone shots helped but were only temporary. I lost 113 lbs and what a difference! There are also many exercises such a stretching the tendons by hyerextending your heels and then relaxing, (hold for 10 secs. x5). Before you get out of bed, wrap your sheet across the arch of your food and pull the toes upward towards you. This makes getting out of bed a little easier. You can also stand facing a wall and put your foot up the wall, toes up and press, stretching the back muscles of your leg and foot. You really should see a Podiatrist if these exercises don't give you much relief.
