Is my Chiropractor doing right thing?
Question:
well,1 month ago i went to my family doc because of pain in one spot in the back of my head-neck and she sent me to Chiropractor.
He found that bones in my neck are little bit out of place and he said i will need a terapy for 1-2 months to fix that.
now after 3 weeks i see some improvement, pain is only occasional and mostly when i turn my head or when i wake up.
but it only last seconds..
i also still feel pressure in my eyes and pain in arms sometimes but i was told its connected with my neck problem.
Im visiting chirop. every 2 days now,he is doing massage of my back, shoulders, but never massage of my neck.
What i would like to know is should i be vorried that my problem is - only bones in my neck? And why after 3 weeks of terapy pain is not completely gone?
is presure in eyes and problem with my sinuses also conected with neck problems?
i would like to hear from somebody that had simmilar experince
thank you

Without seeing your xrays or doing the exam myself, I can't give you an accurate recommendation. Depending on how long the problem has been there (not just how long the pain has been there), I would expect results in 12-36 visits. Talk with your chiropractor about your results. In my practice I do re-evaluations every 12 visits for progress. If progress is coming slower than expected, I look at changing the technique and outside factors that may be slowing down progress. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Check your posture if you spend a lot of time at a desk and/or on a computer, avoid sleeping on your stomach. These are thing that will slow your progress. Problems with sinuses, eyes, and arms can all be related to your neck, and it's up to your chiropractor to rule out other causes as well.
He told you it would take one to two months and it sounds like you have improved quite a bit. The pain in your arms is because of pressure on the nerves in your neck and upper back. The massage relieves tension in the muscle so that you can be adjusted easier and more thoroughly. Yes, He is doing the right thing.
