Does Tramadol contains Tylenol? Can you drink 2 x 100mg at same time if the pain is severe?

My doctor gave me tramadol for my fibromyalgia. He said that it is safe to take 8-12 a day. So that would be 400-600. He said that he would prefer me to take only 400 mg a day. They don't contain tylenol, but ultracet does. Same med, just with Tylenol. In Ultracet there is a little less tramadol though and it never worked for me. I would say that you could safely take 4 at a time if your pain won't let you sleep and you'll be fine. I used to do it all the time. They don't work for me anymore though. I would suggest you call your doctor and tell him that you can't get enough relief to sleep at night, and hopefully you can get some pain relief with something a little stronger. The thing about meds, is that they work different for everybody. Your doctor should be compassionate and help you. His job is your health, and you cannot be healthy when you hurt all the time. Studies have shown that constant pain actually suppresses your immune system. Therefore, you get sick more and it takes longer to get better. Hope you get relief.

No, Tramadol (Ultram) does not contain any acetaminophen.
If you are in extreme pain over night, you can get away with taking 200mg. but I would call the physican that prescribed it for verification in the morning. They may want to just prescribe you something stronger.

It doesnt have tylenol in it. Do you have liquid form? Never seen that...but you could take 2 pills, or whatever the equivelant in liquid.
I would not take anymore than 100mg at one time, there is a risk of seizure at doses higher than 100mg in a 4hr period. If you are having alot of pain you can try taking 100mg of tramadol, 500mg of tylenol, and 400mg of ibuprofen that should help. You should call your Dr. ASAP you may need something stronger. The above combination will be fine until you talk to your Dr.
