I had my belly button peirced about 3 month ago and it was fine but has started to bleed and is sore?

Take a shot glass filled with salt water, put it over your belly piercing and then lay down and let it soak for a good half hour. The salt water helps draw the gunk out. I had this problem with both my nose and belly button. I also work in surgery and see lots of allergies and such and convinced that both of my piercings had healed but that I have an intolerance to the stainless steel. But try the slat water at least twice a day if not more!

take it out, you can get infections, these piercings are disgusting looking anyway, contrary to the beliefs of those who get them. Also use rubbing alcohol on it to avoid infection.
Take it out. That happened to me and I still have a scar around my belly button from it. Its ugly.

You have an infection, and should see a doc pronto. Those infections are usually no big, but sometimes they can do a lot of damage and leave nasty scars. They can also make you sick sick sick.
I had the same problem, so I soaked in bath salts for a 1/2 hour every day, and then used peroxide to clean it out, It healed completely in 6 months, instead of a year.
Yup, go back in time and do not have it done again.

i would take it out, u could be alergic to the gold/silver.
infection, u have to wash it everyday, the slightest bit of dirt gets in there it causes infection, not sayin u dont wash,plz dont think that,,
leave it out for awhile and see if it heals, then have it done again in a few months time, i just repeirced mine had to take it out coz of kids, didnt hurt and its cheaper..

First of all DO NOT take it out. If it is infected it will close up and the infection will trap itself in your body causing it to become very serious.
It takes 9 months - 1 year for a naval piercing to heal. It is normal for it to get irritated sometimes and even bleed a little.
Clean it with warm water and sea salt. It must be sea salt.
Do not use alcohol, peroxide, bactine etc. It will only dry it out and make it take longer to heal. You may want to go to your piercer and have them check to see if the barbell is to long now that it has started to heal. When this happens it will cause it to become irritated. There is also a product called H20cean that most piercing salons sell, its excellent .
If it is red, swollen and hot to the touch it's more than likely infected. You may need to see a doctor for an antibiotic.
A few squirts of man fat should stem the bleeding, I'll be happy to help out so long as your not some old moose.
