RX Gold Drug Card?
Question:
I've had it for a few days and so far...it's awful. Just wondering if I'm the only one.
Answers:
I don't use it, but I think RX gold is a state specific card.
From the sounds of it, it sounds more like a discount card, that an insurance card, maybe? And many times, those are not worth it.
However, I am sure you know the specifics of your card.
There are other ways of saving money on prescriptions, however. First of all would be taking advantage of store promotions, for example Wal-Marts $4 plan. (I work at Walgreens pharmacy, and I get rxs filled there, because they're cheaper than my insurance co-pay). You can get a list of what they offer from the website. Also check local stores. I live in Florida, and here in the Southeast, there's a grocery store called Publix and they just started a thing where they are offering certain antibiotics at no charge. So I take advantage of that as well.
Doctirs also sometimes have coupons for drugs they can give you to redeem at pharmacies, if you have a regular doctor.
If you are interested in finding an insurance plan, you can cheak out ehealthinsurance . com. There you can do a search based on your needs and information to find a plan that you can afford and works in your interest. If you can't get accepted ito a plan, check into your state's Medicaid plan. Most have a medically needy plan which will take you if no one else will - you can't be denied health coverage if you truly need it.
I know this didn't answer your question, but if you are looking for some alternatives, here are some options.
