When you go to the doctor and you have no insurance will they bill you and let you make payments?

The best thing you can do is call the doctor's office and explain to them your predicament. A lot of doctor's will charge less if you do not have insurance, also, some of them will work with you and allow you to make payments. There is no harm in trying, the worst they can do is say no. If all else fails she can go to an emergency room, because they cannot deny treatment to someone in need. Good luck to you and I will pray for your mother's health. Hang in there, because in 5 years she will be eligible for Medicare (at age 65.)
when i used to not have insurance i took myself to the free clinics that are out there. I am sure that you have some in your area or a city close to you. They are funded by the government so just do a search online for your states information. Also she should be eligable for medicaid i believe... and you can vote Democrat in the future
Many providers will allow for payments provided this is agreed upon prior to care. Yes, she does need a check up or at least a current pap smear and mamogram. Check with your county health agency to see if there are any programs to help low income citizens.
They don't LET you, they MAKE you.
Most offices expect payment at the appointment. If she is in need of medical care she has the option of visiting a local free community clinic, a low cost urgent care clinic (usually around $45) or in desperation the emergency room (will be a hefty bill in most cases). I would suggest finding out about a local free clinic. Nearly all larger cities will have one that is funded by the government for people such as your mother. Hope this helps you out
One - explain to them your situation and see what they say. Sometimes they do health care "pro bono" - find out the policy -
there are many programs that will help your mother.
I pay my Doctor and dentist on payment plans. I'm not sure if they mind - I didn't ask because that was how I could afford to pay. They have never treated me badly - and I do pay my bills off.
Call ahead of time. I have seen doctors that don't except cash patients. Good Luck
