Can you feel the difference between a sprained and broken wrist?

Question: Say if someone hurt their wrist, could you tell the difference between a sprain and a break? If so, what would it feel like? If there's a difference, what is the difference? How long does it take to recover from a sprain, how long does it take to recover from a break?

Not really. Both hurt terrible. To make sure, go to a doctor and have an x-ray done..
