Upper back/neck pains from lifting weights?

Question:
I have been lifting weights for around six months now. I am a 16 year old male, 5'8 and 140 lbs. I have been experiencing EXTREME upper back pains. One of the bones/disks on my spine hurts to the touch and I am getting a cramp-like feeling in the muscles on my back. This pain has been going on for about a month, and I stopped lifting for a while and it went away. I started again and it hurts like hell. I do NOT want to stop lifting weights because I am taking creatine and I don't want to "deflate." Someone please give me some suggestions.

Answers:
Don't risk permanent damage to your back. You can always bring back your bulk pretty quickly. Go to a doctor.

You may not be doing the exercises correctly, and may be damaging your back. One meeting with a doctor or physical therapist might take care of everything. Extreme pain is a symptom that should not be ignored.
