I started taking Chantix one week ago, I'm past the nausea and have cut my tobacco use in half ?

My husband, a 2+ pack a day smoker, started on it last week. He was supposed to not smoke as of Monday...however, he had two or three cigs on Monday, and two yesterday. He says he wants one, but not nearly as badly as before (when he tried to quit "cold-turkey")...I think by week two, your cravings diminish a little each day.
Give yourself a break...you didn't become a heavy smoker overnight..and your not going to "kick the habit" overnight, either...
It is a commitment...and I applaud anyone who can do it...
My boyfriend is on Chantix as well. He is in his second month (as it is a 3-month process). He has not had a single cigarette since he started. I would think that you would stop very soon. It has worked very well for him and if you have already cut your habit in half, then your probably just doing it as a habit as you said. I'm sure you can stop. Just let the drug work for you. It definitely will. I've seen the results.
