Question:
I slid in during a baseball game and tore up my leg. The side of my calf was all scraped up and bleeding, but I wasn't in much pain. A couple days later it is very soar and starting to be soar and swell in the areas other than where it was scraped. I cleaned it and put Neosporin on it after the game. Is it infected? What should i do?
Answers:
Try soaking in a bathtub of warm water for 20 minutes or longer. That might help with the soreness if it's pulled muscles. If you have red streaks or pus under the scabs then the scraped area is infected. Neosporin ointment is good for cuts and scrapes but an infected wound should be seen by a doctor.
youre fine. just keep it clean and keep applying the neosporin so you wont have a nasty scar. its gonna puss up alittle, but if it gets really bad you might want to go see the doc. he could give you some antibiotics. but you shouldnt worry, ive scraped up my ***, legs, arms, back, and chest. lol.
