Can SOMEONE Please Answer My Question About Withdrawals From Opiates?
Question:
Does it take longer than two days to feel withdrawals. Its been 48 hours since my last dose, and I feel good. I'm not craving or even thinking about them. I Just feel bored, but whatever ill get over that. I Noticed I was making it A every day thing with taking these pills, So I decided to stop.
Will Withdrawals Creep up on me? Or would I have had them already?
Answers:
normally withdrawls will happen between 48 and 72 hours and if you haven't felt anything yet i wouldn't be to worried..i take 10mg of percocet 3 times a day and sometimes when i run short i don't feel any type of withdrawl and i have been taking percocet for 3 years...percocet and vicodin (from personal experience) i would say don't really have to bad of a withdrawl symptom...it's when you start messing with Oxycontin that have the worst withdrawl symptoms and you were only taking them for about a mnth so i wouldn't be to worried if you just be careful next time...i know that buzz you get from percocet too sometimes even though i take mine for pain i once in awhile take an extra one or two for that little buzz...it's nice to feel good.so if you haven't felt them yet then i think you are in the clear...good luck if you do start having with drawl symptoms like dizziness or nausea and hot and cold sweats i would say call your doctor and ask for something called methadone it helps with the with drawl otherwise you'll just have to wait it out try taking some aspirin just for the side effects...good luck and percocet and vicodin are not the end of the world.trust me i am no doctor but i have been taking percocet for a long time and it never hurt me.
You should have had them already. Its good that you stopped, if you would have continued taking them you probably would have upped your dose and that may have made it worse.
Are you taking anything else now? Unless you are taking anything else for pain that could take away the withdrawls you sound good to go!:)
withdrawal symptoms may still occur. you may feel sleepless, sweating, increased hunger and pains. you may feel something like a panic attack. if you should feel ill, call the prescribing md to discuss. since you stopped vcold, he may want u to taper instead. if it is only one month of use, your symptoms of withdrawal may be like a bad flu.goodluck
