Answers:
Having a fracture is a more intence pain then a sprain or strain, pain from a sprain does normally ease up with a few wks and so does the swelling, but having a fracture the pain sometimes last a lot longer all depending on the fracture and where the fracture is in the ankle, and also the swelling can last sometimes for mths too.Sprains normally go into a tubigrip for a few wks and a fracture normally goes into a plaster cast for wks depending on the fracture.
The pain of a broken ankle is much more intense in comparison to a sprained one.
A broken bone is a constant shooting pain, instead of experiencing sharp pain only when you move it, like a sprain, if it's broken it will ache painfully even when its left still and the pain would feel unbearable if moved or with weight on it
If you can stand on it, it's sprained. If it's broken, you'll fall over (and probably break the other one).
The pain would be much sharper, perhaps associated with the sound of the bone breaking. Hey, don't assume your ankles cannot get any better. You can see a physical therapist to get you started on a good flexibility and strengthening program to change your "destiny."
I broke my ankle once when I was walking my dog. I remember the pain was like nothing else and as I lay on the ground, I actually wanted to die to just stop the pain.
the broken ankle pain is more intense but not that much surprisingly but both are unpleasant to say the least
it's alot Lot! different. im recovering with a double break in my wrist. and this hurts unbearably more than spraining them... and i have broke my ankle b4 it hurts more than a sprain.
when i broke my ankle, i had lots of pins and needles at first, then pain, then nothing as the cast went on
I have had a sprained ankle it was very painful I was told a fracture is less painful once it has been plastered
