What's could be the cause of this chest pain?

Question:
I'm 32 years old and I'm having this little discomfort in my chest, it feels heavier. One day I tried to push a car and had a chest pain. It felt like my chest muscles are squeezing me too much. The pain is gone instantly when I stopped pushing. I never felt this kind of chest pain before but I do feel a milder version sometimes when pushing or lifting something. What could be the cause of this?

Answers:
There could be a number of causes; it could be chest wall pain, which can be caused by injury or overuse, an inflammation of the cartilage of the rib cage (costochondritis), pneumonia or a blood clot to the lungs, or prolonged periods of violent cough could all cause chest wall pain. If you continue to experience pain you should consult yoru doctor.
You probably have hurt your sternum, the part of the chest between the rib cage.

It sounds like you have pulled a muscle. I would try taking Advil and seeing if that aliivates the pain.
I know this sounds a little extreme, but is there anyone in your family that has heart disease. Usually when someone is having a heart attack the can feel heavy. I am NOT suggesting you are having one, but it could be angina, which is a distress on the heart when overexerted. You have more then one of the symptoms. I would make an appointment to see your Doc. It could be overworked muscles, but it might not. Check out the site below for a little more info. It is better to be safe then sorry Also angina pain will stop when the overexertion has stop, but the problem is still there and could turn it a heart attack. See you Doc soon!!
Sounds as if you strained or possibly had a small tear in your pectoral (chest) muscle. Although improbable, it may also be angina, so to be on the safe side you should have a doctor check you out.
You said it yourself -Muscles
To speed healing see a massage therapist.
Molasses (a couple swigs) and/or bananas both contain magnisium and potassium to help relax the muscles.
