Answers:
see a doctor
Man if you've pinched a nerve you need to take care of it properly. Call into work and tell them what happened and then call your doctor and get something for it. It may take a few days to get better. Be careful. If you mess this thing up it can stay with you for years.
If you feel pain when moving, don't make the problem worse by working. Take a day off, and use it to get treatment.

A nerve in the neck or back can be "pinched" when one or more of the vertebrae (back bones) moves slightly out of place. A vertebra needs only to move a tiny fraction of an inch to put pressure on a nerve and cause great pain.

A misplaced back bone could slip back into place when you're lying down asleep, tonight. Or it might never realign on its own.

Find yourself a type of chiropractor called an "applied kinesiologist", who will test your muscles to determine just what and where the problem is, and then treat the problem. If you're worried that he might hurt you, ask if he does "high velocity" treatments (making joints crack very loud by pushing very hard, very quickly on them), or if he uses a "low velocity" approach.

A chiropractor can often fix the problem in one day. Leaving it to "heal" on your own might take forever. Or it might not. Are you a gambling man? I'm not, when it comes to my health.
