Best thing to do for sprains is to keep it elevated 12'' above your heart to constrict bloodflow, then alternate ice packs and heat.
Have you been to a doctor? With ankles there's always the chance of a fracture, or ligament damage. Those would prolong the healing process.

Go to the doctor!...or at least call one and ask what to do. Both my boyfriend and I have hurt ourselves like that before and neither one of us went to the doctor. He sprained his wrist and I dislocated my shoulder. Both of us still have pain when we use it alot and it has been a year for me and a couple months since he hurt himself. I really regret not going cause im sure i would have been told to do something different to let it heal
