What is a good oral antibiotic for a cat bite?

Question:
I have an infected cat bite in my hand. I have several different oral antibiotics here at home. Does anyone know which ones work well for cat and or animal bites? thanks in advance.

Answers:
go to the doctor. Cats carry all kinds of bacteria. You might have "cat scratch"
Ahh go to the doctor dude! I know i'm sure you'll hear that alot but it could save your life. My dad strangled my cat once (cause hes a nut) and it bit him as well. Wound up that he had cat scratch fever (lol, Ted Nugent) and if he had gone to the doctor any later he would have died. They have him hooked up to an i.v. every 8 hours and such. So really, get it checked out. Especially if your arm has any other color to it besides flesh color.
antibiotics can only be prescribled by a doctor. So, before it gets too late and needs amputation, go see a doctor.
Seriously, You need to see a doc soon. You could acquire cat scratch fever. No it's not just a song, it's for real. Only a doctor or ARNP can prescribe antibiotics. Not all antibiotics work on all infections the same. Some are broad spectrum, some are narrow spectrum. Your would should be looked at by them. Don't end up wishing you would have gone sooner.
o no that is not good at all.go to the doctor thats bad news.dont even try and cure it ur self.u need some medical sttention ASAP.good luck.oh yeah anytime u get bite by an animal u should always go to the doctor.they need to give u a tetnis shot and some other stuff.
first of all if its a cat bite the best thing to do if you think its infected is get to doctor sometimes cat carry things diseases and it could have something which can be given to you so have yourself checked.
