Cartilage??

IT IS NORMAL! don't worry about it as long as you are following directions on cleaning it then you'd be fine..when you start noticing a bump and it will not go down within a week or 2 then you have to remove it beause it got an infection but go see your piercer before removing it because if you remove it then the ball will close and the infection will not heal and will stay inside the bump you can also see a doctor for that as well...
i have my cartilage pierced and it is gonna hurt A LOT for a long while...it takes a long time for it to heal so its normal...
dial soap is good for cleaning it, NEVER use alcohol though

It's infected consult a doctor now
It could be normal. Unless its pussing, or bleeding, or extremely inflamed and discolored, its probably normal. Add more details of how it is and I'll give you as much information as I can.
its totally normal
it took my cartiliage more than a year to completely heal
just keep putting the ear car stuff they gave you on it
it will heal quicker and safer
it could mean that but probably not it's probably just sensative
check and see if it's turning red for the next couple of days
if they pierced it with a gun, then it could be too tight which can cause it to pinch and stay painful, after a week i can see it still being a little sore, but if its still painful after a couple weeks, get them to look at it, my g/f has hers done and they used a gun, and she was in pain for a while, and when i looked at it, it was pinching her ear, so they redid it with their hands and she hasnt complained since.
Go back to the piercer and make sure they didn't do it too tight (pinching). Also putting hydrogen peroxide on it will kill any infection you may have (only if it is red or puss filled).
If it just hurts, don't worry it will hurt for quite a while before it gets better.
Did you get it pierced with a gun or a needle? If you got it pierced with a gun it more than likely damaged your cartilage. This is something that people don't tell you. I got mine pierced years back with a gun, and it took over a year to heal. My friends that got theirs done with a needle had theirs healed up within 6 weeks. I wouldn't suggest taking it out. It's probably not infected, just trying to heal from the trauma. The best thing for piercings is sea salt dissolved in warm water. Put the mixture on your ears a few times a day, and it will heal faster. This kills infection and reduced bacteria. Hope this helps.
