I'm scared there might be something wrong with me but I'm not sure... please help?

Question:
I've been having these pains on my lower right side, and it switches from front to back. My doctor told me it could be a hernia, but I'm still really scared about it. I am terrified of doctors so I don't want to go again.
Any sort of comfort is welcome, along with suggestions on how to help it or something.

Answers:
Can you identify when it started hurting? Does it hurt more when you are up or lying down? I know you are scared, but seeing the doctor isn't something to be scared of, it's the unknown. If something is wrong, waiting probably isn't the best idea. Maybe you could try going to a clinic or ask someone you know which doctor they go to, if you don't feel comfortable with that doctor. Hope you start feeling better.
Go back to the doctor. I know you don't want to but hyrnias are serious. It can cause greater damage.

Pain? Well, advil may help... maybe a muscle relaxer. But please, go to the doctor, it's for your safety.

Hope this helps. :O)
Yes! Definitely go back to your Doctor! Why worry yourself sick over something that may be easily solved. If it is more serious, and you mask your problems with a pain reliever, you may end up wishing you had gone to an expert sooner! Get it over with... Call your Doctor tomorrow and tell him you are still having pain and explain your symptoms! Bite the bullet! I know it's easy for me to tell you this, but you will be so happy once you've gone and know what is going on with your body. Perhaps you wrenched your lower back or pulled your abdominal muscles and it's as simple as that! But, if it is something bigger, attend to it now or risk having bigger and more expensive issues down the road! Be smart! You are! JUST DO IT! You'll be so happy and proud of yourself for addressing it right away!!!
Recurring pain isn't normal. If you are uncomfortable with your doctor, see another one. Pain in the lower extremities isn't something to be ignored or minimized.
