Itchy nose when eating fries?!?

Question:
Everytime without failing I get an itchy nose within minutes of eating fries, or other greasy salty food. I have noticed this for years. I know it's not because I touch my nose with greasy hands or anything, that's what I thought at first but I have done this test loads of times now and I don't do anything other than just eat my fries! Does anyone else have this weird problem, and what the **** could cause this?

Answers:
This could be (and sounds like) an allergic reaction, you may be allergic to what they cook the fries in.

If the itchiness isn't so severe, you could test at different fast food places, which ones make your nose itch and then which ones do not, then you can ask the manager in each what they cook their fires in.

Also, doesn't it happen when you make home-made fries?

By knowing you can avoid the food altogether to rid you of this annoyance, when all you want to do is eat your fries in peace!~

Good Luck, and Wish You The Best!

Tell your doctor
Maybe you are allergic to something in the fries. that sucks cause fries are soooooooooooooo good.
my nose itches when I eat hot cheetos.
i dont understand why either.
An unusual allergy possibly.
No, no itch
Allerigic to fish or chips or the oil they cook them in.
It might be an allergic reaction. My tongue itches when I eat fresh pineapple.
AND YOU NEVER SEEN A DOCTOR FOR THIS....HUMMMMM
haah i have no idea, but somthing similar happens to me. EVERY SINGLE TIME THAT I DRINK CRANBERRY JUICE MY FACE BURNS LIKE CRAZY. like, my cheeks and forehead get really hot. its the weirdest thing ever i have no idea what causes it.
Are you being careful about into which orifice you are actually placing the fries. Because if you stick them up your nose, you probably will itch a bit
you should try talking to your doctor.
maybe your allergic and that is the side affects to eating fries if you R allergic.
hope i helped:)
Uh, hell-oh! Consult a doctor, not us.
Sounds like an allergy.
Tell your doctor or try not eat as many salty and greasy foods..

Have you thought that you could be allergic to it?
Scratch you nose with fries, maybe that will help.
My nose ALWAYS itches when I eat a chinese or curry. It's probably the salt
You may have an allergy to the kind of oil/shortening/fats used in frying the foods.Check with your doctor!
go to an allergist.. they will tell you.
its probably the salt u could be slightly allergic to it, check with ur doc
sounds like an allergic reaction to me.

it doesnt happen to me although i do get itchy legs when doing the dishes!!
my face sweats when i eat chocolate but il deal with it.
No don't tell your Dr - come round my gaff - let me experiment on you to find out if other foods set off other parts of your anatomy.

I know a lady who... ah no that would be telling.

But I will say that beer gives me a headache - but only after 8 hrs (weired huh?)
Good cheese makes my head tingle.
Custard makes my eyes roll and coffee makes me annoying to others (apparently ) - can't say I've noticed.
Nothing so far in the food area makes me itch
I study in nutrition.
If you consume oily, and greasy foods long term wise, your skin will get "greasy", then start growing pimples, and along with this, itching takes place. For you, it occurs on the nose, for this you should notify your doctor.
Good luck.
Could it be too much vinegar? ( my downfall!)
try taking antihistamines on a regular basis seek advise from your gp 1st though and he should be able to presribe you the right type
the itching is obviously an allergic reaction and you need to be seen by a deratologist and have skin patch testing done on you
once the results are back from them tests a more accurate diagnosis can be made and you could then find a way around the problem of eating fries without the itching
