Sounds nasty! I have had the butterfly get stuck in but managed to get it out myself.
I got it stuck but didn't have surgery, I just ripped it back out through the front and doused it in peroxide and alcohol for a week..

No, but I have had a bush stuck in my ear once.
I was asleep (outside) and my friend thought it would be funny to stick one of those little furry things in my ear, where its pierced. She put it in, but when you brushed it the other way, it was spiky. And I was attached to the bus until someone fould some scissors.
Great fun.

did you inform the store who did your ear piercing of what happened to your ears before you went on for surgery?
Good lord! I would try to sue the hell out of her for doing that to you!
Everythime I have gotten my ears peirced, they got infected, so I had to take them out.
If you want earrings I say get them pierced again.But make sure!! You turn the earrings front and back 3 to 4 times a day in a circular motion to keep them from sticking to skin and then use peroxide or alcohol and clean your ears 2 times a day.That should keep them from sticking to the skin and becoming in bedded or gong through ear..Good Luck.Let me know what you decide..
