I just slept for 18 hours straight. any thoughts?


Question:
the week that led up to this went like this: during the work week i average around 4-5 hrs of sleep cuz i got up at 4 a.m. to work for about 9 hrs in construction. over the weekend i spent a day staying up all day and then staying up all night at the casino. when i got back from the casino i slept during the day for about 8 hrs. the rest of the weekend i went to sleep at around 1 and woke up at around 10 (so 9 hrs) and then i got 4 hrs of sleep from monday to tuesday, worked all day tuesday..and went to sleep at 4:30 pm and slept until 10:30 a.m. today. 18 hrs out of no where! what do u guys think?

your body just had some catching up to do. ive sleep around 18 hours numerous times, its perfectly normal (to me at least)

just be sure to set an alarm if you need to wake up :]

i think you have to try to regulate your sleeping patterns a bit more. you slept so much because you are sleep deprived. try to get 6 hours everynight, see if htat doesnt help. bet it will
that your sleep schedule is effed and you should try to get it straightened out instead of crashing.
You seem like a devoted employee. I say sleep when you can! It will help you recharge.

Your body is telling you that you need more rest since you say you only sleep 4 or 5 hours in the work week.
if you had a set time to at least TRY to go to sleep at you won't need to sleep away a straight 18 hours

that's unhealthy and I don't like seeing people do unhealthy things to themselves


sooooo... promise me you will at least try to get a better sleeping regime it will be better for your health and you will be able to do anything you want during the day
If you took a sleeping pill just don't do it anymore. Another thing is that you have been get less sleep than normal people. This might cause you to sleep longer than normal.
Please let me know if you figure something out... I was doing the low-sleep, then 18-hour sleep, and eventually it built up to 24, and then 30... It just doesn't seem right! My mom thinks I've just broken my body from going too hard, too long (which it sounds like you're doing too - by my mom's definition anyway :P )
