I accidentally touched the collected liquid in the DampRid! Please help?


Question:
My mom told me to get rid out our hanging moisture absorber damp rids and put up new ones. She told me to poke a hole in it and squeeze the liquid out. So I did, but then I read the box and it said not to. I washed my hands about 20 times, then washed my face and brushed my teeth really well just to be safe. Should I call Poison Control or something?
(the stuff inside is calcium carbonate, which is baking soda...I accidentally ate that once when I was a kid. I think I accidentally got some on my mouth today but I washed it and brushed my teeth for like 10 minutes and drank 2 glasses of water.)

Check out the wiki entry its in all sorts of foods, i think your safe. I wouldnt purposly ingest any, but if you didnt get any near your face or mouth then your ok. You can always call the poison control center and ask them what if anything you should do
