What do you do when you have wood stuck in your toenail?

Question:
no joke. just a few mins ago i banged my foot against a piece of wood. now a very tiny piece of thin wood is stuck in my toe and it hurts like hell!! what can i do?

Answers:
Pull it out and disinfect your toe. Keep it clean & use antibiotic cream, keep in covered and watch for infection.
go to the dr. or emergency room to have it disinfected and cleaned out.
woa never herd that b 4
Get it looked at by a doctor.
can you get it out with tweezers? If not, you will need to have it removed by a doctor before it gets infected and you lose your toe.

You probably don't need the ER... but maybe urgent care if your doc can't get you in today sometime
remove it.
You don't need to go to the doctor. Just get some tweezers and pull it out. Or use a needle and tease it out. I could do it for you... but that's not going to happen. My entire family works in construction and none of us likes to wear shoes if we don't have to.

Put the foot in HOT water, that will soften the nail. You can pour a little rubbing alcohol in there, too. Just start prying at it.
actually there is nothing you can do! let your nail grow and push it out on its own!
