Question:
I've tried to stop getting them.
But it's really hard so can I stop them itching?
I've tried vingegar but it didn't help.
Answers:
Try hydrocortisone cream.
Try Benedryl ointment/cream...
Vinegar on a cotton bud
all the best
Try some lotion with an alcohol base. However if you use any perfume, and go out the scent may draw them to you.
there are plenty of sprays and ointments that you can find in a local supermarket that are specifically designed for this kind of thing. I don't have any specific brands, but I know they are out there because we have them at the summer camp I work at.
Good luck with your bites!
Tiger Balm is the way to go
Try covering them with clear nail polish
or
Baking soda: Make a paste by mixing one teaspoon of it in your hand with a little water. Apply it to the bite to neutralize the acidic insect venom.
Hot sauce: Don't get it in your eyes! Put a few drops on the bite and you'll soon stop thinking about the bite. You'll be thinking about this new irritation!
Milk: soothes the skin and may act as an anti-inflammatory.
Toothpaste: Rub a tiny dab over the bite to cool and distract you from the itching.
Aspirin: Controls inflammation. Wet your skin and rub an aspirin tablet over the bite. Make certain you are not allergic to aspirin before you use this bite remedy.
Vicks VapoRub: The menthol in it deadens nerve endings.
Toothpaste is what works for me.
My dad swears by Nu-Skin.
a solution of 50/50 ammonia and water on a cotton ball as soon as possible after you've been bitten will neutralize the mosquito's bite.
i was told tooth paste works
rubbing alcohol helps
try hydrocortisone cream or BiteMD. hydrocortisone cream will stop the itch but BiteMD also heals the bites.
Try the cortisone 10 cream with aloe. also try mixing 1 heaping spoonfull of baking soda with just enough water to make a very thick paste. Leave it on for 20 minutes
Slightly wetting a bar of Ivory soap and then rubbing the paste onto the bit is the best thing I have ever tried. It stops the itch instantly. Not to mention cheap. This has worked far better for me than any of the OTC bug bite stuff.
I use benedryl cream but if i'm too lazy to get up i make an x with my fingernail on the bite and slap it. It should numb it and stop itching. I know it sounds weird but it works.
Try chalamine lotion. The pink stuff. We have alot of it on hand at our house.
